On November 6, the Working Group of the Committee for Foreign Non-Governmental Organizations Affairs (COMINGO) led by Tran Phu Cuong, Head of the People's Aid Coordinating Committee under the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, worked with the People's Committee of Dien Bien to assess the activities of foreign non-governmental organizations in the province.

Vietnamese serves not merely as a tool for communication but also as a bond linking those far from their homeland to their origins, reviving their memories, sense of identity, and affection for their native land amidst life's transformations.

With around 6 million Vietnamese residing in over 130 countries and territories, the Vietnamese language serves not just as a means of communication but also as a cultural bridge between Vietnamese generations and their motherland. The Vietnamese community is making significant contributions to the cultural and social development of their resident localities. Efforts to preserve and enhance the Vietnamese language as an integral part of national identity are intensifying, with the possibility of it gaining official recognition in many countries.

The swift advancement of technology in the educational sector creates numerous opportunities for teaching Vietnamese internationally. With tools ranging from language learning apps to virtual classrooms, technology is an invaluable asset for the young overseas Vietnamese to maintain and enhance their native language skills efficiently and conveniently.

From the fear of mothers living far from home about their children losing their mother tongue, to her innovative approach to developing language curricula and teaching activities, Dr. Nguyen Thuy Anh has emerged as a leading figure in the overseas Vietnamese community. Her efforts to preserve the Vietnamese language and culture are embodied in her textbook series "Hello Vietnamese language" and the Vietnamese summer camps she organizes, which aim to instill a love for the language, particularly among younger generations.
