The competition judges are all prestigious Japanese and international professors. All contestants participating in the competition will receive a certificate from the Kyushu Music Competition program.
Participating in the international music competition Kyushu Music Concour in Japan, Pham Thuy Linh performed the song "Den Teuren zu versohnen" by composer Martha. The Vietnamese student in traditional Ao Dai impressed the judges with her clear, high-pitched voice and emotional performance.
Pham Thuy Linh said she was happy to be given a chance to perform in the contest this year. After excellently winning the Gold Cup in the Vocal Competition at the 2023 Asian Arts Festival, she was encouraged by her teacher, Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan to join the Kyushu Music Concour competition.
“Teacher Tan Nhan was very dedicated to teaching and guiding me," said the young artist. "She knew this competition was difficult, so she took me to her teacher, Meritorious Artist Lan Anh, for advice. I was excited but also felt pressured. I was determined to practice until I memorized the melody and sang perfectly.”
The image of Pham Thuy Linh shining on the contest stage is not only the pride of Vietnamese female singers but also leaves a beautiful impression on international artists.
Pham Thuy Linh was born in 2001, in Nam Dinh. She is currently a student at the Vietnam National Academy of Music. She won second prize in the Bac Ninh Great Voice contest. In July 2023, she won the Gold Cup at the 2023 Asian Arts Festival vocal competition in Singapore.
