Vietnamese Women’s Day marked in Malaysia

The Vietnamese Liaison Committee and the Vietnamese Women's Club Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) on October 18th marked the 85th anniversary of the Vietnamese Women’s Union.

Speaking at the event, Tran Thi Chang, Chairwoman of the Vietnamese Women's Club in Malaysia reviewed the process of establishment and development of the Vietnamese Women's Union over the past 85 years in connection with the history of the country and the cause of women's liberation.

In terms of operation of the Vietnamese Women's Club in Malaysia since its establishment in May 2014, Ms. Chang said that the club has actively participated in and contributed to activities of the Vietnamese community in Malaysia such as collaboration with the Vietnamese Liaison Committee to mark the Hung Kings' death anniversary, mid-autumn festival for Vietnamese children, raising fund to help Vietnamese people in Malaysia in difficult circumstance and actively supporting Vietnamese people in the disaster-hit areas.

On behalf of the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia, Ambassador Pham Cao Phong praised the practical activities of the Vietnamese Women's Club, which have contributed to building the solid and strong community and always toward the beloved fatherland.

The Ambassador wished all of women health, happiness and success as well as the club will have more practical and effective activities./.
