Vietnam's Cultural Charm Shines at Winter Fair

This is an annual cultural activity dedicated to the Diplomatic Corps since 2011. This year, the event attracted nearly 70 representative agencies in Washington DC after a 4-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic since 2020.

Coming to the fair, Vietnam's booth attracted the attention of local people and other countries with traditional Vietnamese cultural and handicraft products. Visitors expressed their interest in typical Vietnamese cultural products such as bamboo dragonflies, Non La, Ao Dai, high-quality silk scarves with sophisticated patterns, and brocade fabrics.

Additionally, lacquer art, Vietnamese oil paintings, and Ao Dai collections by many famous Vietnamese designers displayed at the fair are also notable highlights of the booth.

Besides displaying cultural products, the Embassy of Vietnam in the United States promoted agricultural products such as cashew nuts, sesame candy, green tea, and coffee, and introduced famous tourist destinations of Vietnam at the fair.

Local and international visitors expressed their love for the country and people of Vietnam, sharing memories of their previous visits to the place. Many people who have not been to Vietnam have expressed their desire to experience firsthand the country’s beautiful scenery, culture, and cuisine.

The Fair Organizing Committee highly appreciated the booth and participation of the Vietnamese Embassy at the 2024 Winter International Fair. In particular, Vietnamese silk scarves along with items from three countries (Rwanda, Mexico, and Tunisia) were selected by the Organizing Committee to introduce the unique cultural products of the Fair on Fox 5 TV channel. The host and guests expressed their interest and enjoyment in high-class Vietnamese silk scarves.

The booth of the Vietnamese Embassy also left a good impression on the organizers and visitors of the 2024 Winter International Fair.
