Apart from products from traditional craft villages across the country, the exhibition also promotes green tourist destinations and a trend of environmentally friendly tourism.

Every day during the course of the event, an exchange programme spotlights folk art and culture.

The exhibition brings together the participation of 25 cities and provinces nationwide.

As an activity to welcome the Visit Vietnam Year 2022 hosted by Quang Nam under the theme of green tourism, the exhibition will go online from July 12 at http://trienlamvhnt.vn.

On July 6, Vietnam was elected to the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage for the 2022-2026 term, with 120 approval votes – the highest among the elected countries, during the ninth session of the General Assembly of the States Parties to the Convention 2003 in Paris.

The 24-member committee is UNESCO’s important agency for safeguarding intangible cultural heritage. Its functions are to promote the objectives of the Convention, provide guidance on best practices, and make recommendations on measures for the safeguarding of the intangible cultural heritage.

This is the second time that Vietnam has taken on this responsibility at UNESCO's key cultural governing body, after the 2006-2010 term.
