In his speech, Vietnamese Ambassador to Canada Pham Cao Phong stressed that the establishment of a state for farmers and workers in the S-shaped country was the fruit of the solidarity, patriotism, and intellect of the Vietnamese people under the clear-sighted and strategic partnership of the Party and beloved Uncle Ho.
The Ambassador spoke highly of the patriotism and efforts made by overseas Vietnamese to bring made-in-Vietnam products to Canada as well as to introduce advanced technologies and draw investment to the homeland, Vietnam News Agency reported.

He also praised the Vietnamese community's contributions to fostering Vietnam-Canada ties, adding that within the framework of the comprehensive cooperative partnership, the two nations shared strategic benefits, including promoting peace, maintaining security and legal abidance, strengthening economic connectivity, and joining supply chains.
Two-way trade between the two countries reached 5.95 billion USD last year, up 23 percent annually. Vietnam is Canada’s largest trade partner and source of students pursuing education in the North American country among ASEAN member states.
Over the past time, Vietnam and Canada have held five talks between leaders of ministries and agencies to deepen bilateral ties, he said. Canada is now home to about 260,000 Vietnamese living, studying, and working.
At the ceremony, the Vietnamese Embassy in Canada launched a display space of around 200 books, photos, and paintings on the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh.
Vietnam-Venezuela cultural exchange marks Vietnam’s 75th National Day
The Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela organized a cultural exchange program in Caracas on August 28 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and Vietnam's National Day (September 2), Vietnam News Agency reported.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela Le Viet Duyen recalled admirable achievements of Vietnam after the 35-year of Doi Moi (Renewal), with an average annual economic growth rate of nearly 7 percent – among the highest in the region and the world.
Vietnam has also obtained remarkable results in external affairs when it consistently pursues the foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, diversification, and multilateralisation of international relations. Notably, in 2020, Vietnam has assumed the positions as the Chair of ASEAN and a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the 2020-2021 tenure.
In terms of Vietnam- Venezuela relations, the ambassador affirmed that the Vietnamese Government and people always attach importance to the friendship and solidarity with Venezuela.
Vietnam is willing to support the Venezuelan Government and people in the struggle to protect independence and sovereignty for the development of the nation and the prosperity of the people, he added.

Meanwhile, Ruben Darío Molina, Venezuelan Vice-minister of Foreign Affairs for Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania, emphasized that his country commits to maintaining, consolidating, and intensifying its close cooperation with Vietnam in various fields.
The event also featured art performances by both Vietnamese and Venezuelan artists. The program was broadcast on Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), Venezuelan Military TV channel (TVFANB) and Venezuelan National Assembly TV channel (ANTV).
On this occasion, Ambassador Le Viet Duyen granted interviews to the VTV8 channel of Venezolana de Televisión, introducing Vietnam’s culture, cuisine, and tourism.
