(VNF) - Thanh Ha Terra-cotta Park in Thanh Ha Ward, Hoi An, Quang Nam Province has become a charming destination for tourists to the ancient town of Hoi An - a world heritage site recognised by UNESCO.

Here, there are a series of miniature of famous architectural works of Vietnam and wonders of the world which are made of terra cotta, including the Nha Rong Wharf; the ancient town of Hoi An; Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam (the first National University and the Temple of Literature); President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (Vietnam); the Colosseum (Italy), the Egyptian pyramids (Egypt), and the Statue of Liberty (the US) among others.

The Park is the winners of the 2016 architect awards with Building of the Year award.

The project was developed by the People’s Committee of Hoi An City and Nha Viet Corp. Visitors can see a museum of traditional craft villages. This is also a place for exchange between craft villages, brainstorming camps for artisans, and displays of perse pottery products showing the sustainable development of craft villages.

There are five areas at the site, including a museum of pottery products and artifacts and an outdoor exhibition area of miniature World Heritage-listed sites in Vietnam, including Hue Imperial Citadel, My Son Sanctuary and Hoi An.

Models of the Champs Elysees, the pyramid, the Colosseum, and the Parthenon temple can also be found at the park. All are created from terracotta and skillful hands of artists.

Thanh Ha pottery village locates in Thanh Ha District, Hoi An city, far 2km from Hoi An’s Old Quarter in the western. The village was founded in the final years of 15^th century, and then it is strongly developing with Hoi An port with major products with the aim of serving daily life of locals./.
