VND 300 million donated to Laos by Dak Lak province
Dak Lak province of Vietnam on August 10 donated VND 300 million to the Laotian people in Attapeu province, who are victims of the recent dam collapse.

The donation was granted to the representatives of Attapeu province by a delegation from Dak Lak province, headed by Ydec H’Đơk, Member of the Standing Committee of Dak Lak province, President of the provincial Fatherland Front.
The Sepien-Senamnoi hydropower dam collapsed at 8pm on July 23, releasing 5 billion cubic metres of water completely isolated Sanamxay district. It caused massive floods which completely isolated six villages in the Sanamxay district of Attapeu province.
Since the disaster occured, Vietnam has promptly reached its helping hand to Attapeu province through providing emergency aid for the victims of the disaster, such as clothing, food items, drinking water, medicines, cash and other relief items.
Furthermore, the country also assist Laos with manpower supports. By the end of July, nearly 200 officers and soldiers, doctors, along with 11 automobiles have been deployed to Attapeu to conduct medical examination, treatment and medicines for affected locals./.
