VPC, VPDF Continue to Promote Cooperation with WPC

During the meeting, both parties exchanged thoughts on the global situation and shared updates about the recent activities of their respective organizations.
Iraklis Tsavdaridis, Executive Secretary of the WPC, stated that given the numerous changes in the global situation, the World Peace Council's activities encounter numerous difficulties and challenges. The WPC is striving to maintain effective operations as it prepares for the 23rd Congress, planned for 2026.
According to Tran Dac Loi, recently, the VPC and the VPDF have collaborated with the WPC and its member organizations, engaging in regional and international peace forums. The VPC invited Pallab Sengupta, President of the WPC, to attend the ceremony commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory on May 7, 2024, in Dien Bien Phu. They also welcomed a delegation from the Nepal Peace and Solidarity Council in May 2024. The VPDF has been active in the ASEAN People's Forum and the Asia-Europe People's Forum.
Tran Dac Loi said: The Vietnam Peace Committee and the Vietnam Peace and Development Foundation will continue to accompany and coordinate with the World Peace Council in upcoming activities.
