“Educating young Vietnamese people in the Czech Republic differs from in Vietnam because they here are educated under the European lifestyle, therefore, through Vu Lan festival, we want to remind them to remember about their roots as well as give them knowledge about national culture in the closest way such as showing gratitude to their parents and grandparents,” said Buddhist Hoa Tam, Head of the Vietnamese Buddhist Association in the Czech Republic.

Vu Lan festival is an annual religious activity, which attracts a largest number of Vietnamese people in the Czech Republic, including many young people because the festival has met the needs of religion and life of overseas Vietnamese people./.
