Tran Dac Loi, former deputy head of the Standing Committee of the Commission for Foreign Relations of the Party Central Committee, presented at the seminar.

Tran Dac Loi, former deputy head of the Standing Committee of the Commission for Foreign Relations of the Party Central Committee, highlighted the factors that have influenced the world people's movement in the past 10 years.

He said there had been a transformation in structure, production relations, labor and society under the influence of the technological revolution. The globalization process and the application of new liberal policies over the past 40 years had resulted in part of the traditional industrial working class shrinking significantly, and an informal, distributed, decentralized, and precarious social position was spreading more and more. The position of workers in relation to employers was increasingly weakened. The explosion of the internet opened up the possibility of forming wide social networks, but also contributed to the dispersion and division of mass forces.

Tran Dac Loi forecast social protest movements would continue to erupt with new and complex methods of gathering. In addition, Western powers would continue to promote democracy and human rights to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries.

In the face of complicated developments of the world and regional situation that may have a strong impact on people's movements Tran Dac Loi also made a number of proposals such as: strengthening the work research of the world people's movement and developing a partnership development strategy.
