Speaking at the reception, VUFO President Phan Anh Son affirmed that the Vietnamese Party, Government, and people's organizations attach great importance to the foundation of cooperation between Vietnam and China. This foundation was built by President Ho Chi Minh and Chairman Mao Zedong in the early 1950s.

The Vietnam-China people-to-people exchange platform plays an important role, helping people's organizations and social classes to understand the inseparable and cooperative relations in many fields of the two countries, especially on people-to-people channels.

The year 2023 marks special milestone for Vietnam-China relations and for the two organizations. Many high-level visits have been carried out since the beginning of the year. In June 2023, VUFO President at that time, Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga, accompanied Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to visit China. She had a meeting with Vice President of CPAFFC Yuan Mindao and many Chinese scholars.

During the visit of General Secretary and President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping and his spouse to Vietnam from December 12-13, CPAFFC, VUFO and agencies of the two countries assigned to coordinate and organize the meeting between scholars and young generation of the two countries.

According to VUFO President Phan Anh Son, this is both an honor and a responsibility of CPAFFC and VUFO. Up to this point, preparations are being carried out urgently and thoughtfully and have reached the final stage. He believes that the two sides will coordinate well to organize this event.

CPAFFC President Yang Wanming said that Vietnam and China are good neighbors, good friends, good comrades, and good partners. The state visit to Vietnam by General Secretary and President Xi Jinping will create more motivation to deepen and elevate the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic partnership.

At the meeting with scholars and young generation of the two countries, General Secretary and President Xi Jinping and General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong will deliver important speeches. This shows that the two Parties and countries want to expand people-to-people exchanges, especially with the younger generation, contributing to promoting increasingly sustainable Vietnam-China friendship.

VUFO President Phan Anh Son and CPAFFC President Yang Wanming discussed the operating situation of the two organizations and agreed to strengthen people-to-people exchange and cooperation activities in the coming time.
