At the reception, General Secretary Doraisamy Raja provided an overview of the current priorities and activities of the Communist Party of India, particularly in promoting peace and solidarity globally.

General Secretary Doraisamy Raja expressed his delight at the development of the Vietnam-India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

He affirmed that the Communist Party of India would continue to work towards strengthening cooperation between the two countries in multilateral forums and enhancing people-to-people exchanges.

For his part, VUFO President Phan Anh Son stated that Vietnam and India are long-standing traditional friends. The traditional friendship between the two countries was founded by President Ho Chi Minh and Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and has been diligently nurtured by generations of leaders and the people of both countries.

VUFO and the Vietnam-India Friendship Association highly value the traditional Vietnam-India relationship, considering it an invaluable asset for both peoples, added he.

The VUFO President further informed that in the fourth quarter of 2024, VUFO and the Vietnam-India Friendship Association will organize the 12th Vietnam-India Friendship Festival in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and several other provinces in Vietnam.

He cordially invited the General Secretary of the Communist Party of India to return to Vietnam to attend the event.
