"When I want to understand Vietnam a little more, I refer to the alumni"
According to the US ambassador, US-Vietnam relations have recently expanded to new areas of cooperation such as health, defense, education, and trade. The alumni are among the key contributors to Vietnam's impressive and rapid development and the joint achievements in the two countries' relations. They also form a bridge connecting the two peoples.

"When I want to understand Vietnam a little more, I refer to the alumni," said the diplomat.
Ambassador Marc Knapper said that since the reconciliation, the US government has sponsored more than 50 exchange programs for students, teachers, scholars, and professionals from the USA and Vietnam. To date, the US has supported over 7.000 Vietnamese students to participate in exchange projects such as Fulbright, SUSI, IVLP, YSEALI, VEF, which lay a foundation for the growing relations of the two countries.

Nguyen Thu Ha, President of VUSAC, said the club gathered Vietnamese people who have studied in the US to contribute to Vietnam's construction and development and to consolidate the Vietnam-US friendship. The club regularly organizes exchange programs and dialogues in many fields, such as technology, science, education, and environment to connect diplomats, scholars, experts and students from both countries.
