Nhan said that since 2016, the International Martial Arts Festival is supported by WoMAU as a regular activity every year. In 2024, the festival will be one of a series of events to observe the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification. It is expected to take place from December 20-22, 2024. Performances and many activities at the Ho Chi Minh City Theater, Nguyen Hue - Le Loi pedestrian street will take place, as well as martial arts photo exhibitions, scientific seminars at selected universities.

According to Nhan, leaders of WoMAU and some member countries also agreed to send a delegation to participate in this attractive event.

Sharing the results of the discussion with representatives from the UNESCO Centre for International Martial Arts Development for Youth (ICM), Nhan said ICM wishes to collaborate with Ho Chi Minh City to cooperate and exchange experiences in developing martial arts for young people in the continent and the world. In particular, ICM Secretary General Kim Gyujig shared his experiences in developing martial arts for young people in South Korea as well as a recent international project in Uzbekistan and Vietnam.

Nhan, representing the Vietnamese martial arts community, informed the ICM Secretary General about the strong interest in martial arts among young people in Ho Chi Minh City. He emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting the tradition of martial arts, especially within the school system. He also suggested that ICM should continue to have international projects in Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City to support the development of the community.

From the ICM side, it is important to implements projects to promote and develop martial arts to young people with the criterion "Contributing to the prosperity and cohesion of humanity through martial arts," including four objectives, namely strengthening intercultural peace through international cooperation, developing the capacity of youth and women through martial arts, promoting research and knowledge sharing on martial arts, collecting data and documents, and developing an international martial arts documentation center.
