At the Singapore Armed Forces Basic Military Training Center, both delegations exchanged valuable experiences in areas of mutual interest, including training, and conducting political and ideological tasks to train new soldiers.
During their visit to the Changi Naval Base and the Singapore Air Force Museum, the Vietnam People's Army delegation learned about the host country's traditions, combat experience, and the capabilities of Southeast Asia's most versatile fighter jet fleet. The Singaporean hosts also introduced the delegation to various training exercises on combat ships, ranging from simple to complex scenarios, including avoiding collisions at sea and controlling ships in challenging conditions of rough seas and strong winds.
Colonel Tran Huu Dung, Deputy Head of the Youth Department of the Army and Head of the Young Officers Delegation of the Vietnam People's Army emphasized that this exchange activity provides young Vietnamese officers with an opportunity to learn, share, and exchange experiences in task performance, especially in training and fulfilling responsibilities within their respective agencies and units.
This exchange marks the 10th year that the Ministries of Defense of both countries have agreed to rotate the organization of young officers' exchanges annually. The program plays a crucial role in consolidating and affirming the commitment of young officers to preserving and fostering the Vietnam-Singapore friendship while demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, trust, and mutual understanding between the two armies.
