New Milestone in Vietnam-Singapore People-to-People Exchange and Cooperation

On March 26 in Hanoi, under the witness of Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong; Vice Chairman of the Singapore International Foundation (SIF) Lian Wee Cheow and Vice President - Secretary General of the Vietnam-Singapore Friendship Association (VSFA) Nguyen Duc Hung signed and exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the field of people-to-people exchange.

The MoU between the SIF and the VSFA marks a step forward in strengthening information exchange, fostering mutual understanding, and expanding cooperation between the two countries.

Under the MoU, the two sides will collaborate in areas including climate change adaptation, youth engagement, and development needs. Additionally, the SIF and VSFA are committed to identifying and connecting relevant stakeholders to participate in each other’s programs, projects, and initiatives. In addition, they seek to promote dialogue and the exchange of knowledge and experience between the peoples of both countries.

Through this collaboration, the SIF and VSFA also aim to seek strategic partners to develop impactful initiatives that drive positive social change.

The signing of this MoU reaffirms the commitment of the SIF and VSFA to strengthening Vietnam-Singapore people-to-people ties, thereby enhancing mutual understanding and fostering bilateral cooperation.

On the same day in Hanoi, VSFA Vice President - Secretary General Nguyen Duc Hung received SIF Vice Chairman Lian Wee Cheow.

During the reception, Nguyen Duc Hung emphasized that the cooperation between the VSFA and SIF has facilitated substantive and effective exchanges, contributing to the consolidation of Vietnam-Singapore relations.

Both sides agreed to expand cooperation and implement initiatives to enhance mutual understanding, promote sustainable development for the benefit of the people of both countries in the future.
