The program aims to review and continue good traditions of friendship, connection, and exchange, expanding cooperative relationships in social affairs and to learn effective economic development models; sharing experiences in implementing Youth Union work and youth movements; and cultural and artistic exchanges, thereby contributing to expressing the faith, will, and aspirations of the two countries’ youth to join hands to cultivate a close relationship "mountain to mountain, river to river".

At the event, youth delegations from 4 Vietnamese provinces bordering Yunnan province (including Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Lao Cai, and Ha Giang) and Chinese youth delegates together experienced many exciting activities in Kunming city, Honghe Hani and Yi, and Dali Bai of Yunnan province.

At the Forum "Chinese-Vietnamese Youth Development", delegates of the two countries exchanged experiences with 8 presentations revolving around issues of mutual concern, such as strengthening international youth exchanges and cooperation; the role of youth in perfecting the creative startup ecosystem; strengthening mutual understanding, together promote the development of the Vietnam - China border area.

Participating in the discussion, Vietnamese youth delegates brought up many topics: "From the ideal of mutuality and similar culture to youth cooperation at the Vietnam - China border, contributing to cultivating friendship and looking forward to the future" hybrid" of the Dien Bien Provincial Youth Union; "Promoting the proactive role of youth in environmental protection and responding to climate change" of Lao Cai Youth Union...

Within the program’s framework, delegates also planted trees at the China-Vietnam youth friendship forest; Cycling to protect the ecological environment at Erhai Lake, Dali Bai; and visited start-up companies and intangible cultural relics of Yunnan. In particular, youth delegates from the provinces visited the relic site of President Ho Chi Minh in Kunming city. This is one of the places where President Ho Chi Minh participated in revolutionary activities to find a way to save the country in the years 1940-1941 in Yunnan.

Dang Thanh Huy, Secretary of Dien Bien Youth Union, said the friendly exchange relationship between Vietnamese and Chinese youth has gone deeper and brought practical results. The success of this program is one of the milestones of strengthening mutual understanding between the youth of the two countries while affirming the determination, responsibility, and proactive role of youth in inheriting, preserving, and continuing to write new pages of history in the good relations for the benefit of each country, for peace, stability, and prosperity in the region and the world.
