Youth Theatre celebrates 40 years of establishment
The Youth Theatre held a ceremony on April 10th to mark the 40th anniversary of its establishment and honour the many generations of artists who have come through the theater.

The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam and Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Vuong Duy Bien. The Prime Minister sent a bouquet of flowers to congratulate the theatre on its longevity.
Speaking at the ceremony on behalf of the Government, Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam sent congratulations to the theater’s artists and staff who have overcome many difficulties to fulfill its mission of bringing the arts to young audiences.

He also expressed his hope that the Youth Theater in particular and many other arts units will continue to promote the tradition, as it contributes to the development of culture and art in the country.
Established in 1978, the Youth Theatre has not only performed in Vietnam but also co-operates with art troupes in countries such as Japan and Germany. It is currently a member of the International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People (ASSITEJ).

Over 40 past years, with nearly 400 plays under its belt, the theater has organised many performances to serve people and children all over the country, and has become a prestigious art unit known in Vietnam and around the world.
Located at 11 Ngo Thi Nham Street, Hai Ba Trung District, the 500-seat Vietnam Youth Theatre is among the rare State-owned theatre spaces in the capital city to perform three days a week./.
