The 3rd Vietnamese culture festival highlighted in the Kwangju - Jeonnan region, the Republic of Korea lured around 1,000 Vietnamese and Korean participants.

Co-organized by the Overseas Vietnamese sub-Association in Kwangju - Jeonnan region, the Vietnamese Embassy to the Republic of Korea, the Overseas Vietnamese Association in the Republic of Korea, the Hoban Construction Company and Vietjet Air, the festival aimed to reinforce the solidarity among members, as well as accelerate the in-person relations between Vietnamese and local citizens.

Tran Hai Linh, member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Chairman of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in the Republic of Korea strongly congratulated the development of the Overseas Vietnamese sub-Association in Kwangju - Jeonnan region in the past few years, saying that the community should participate actively towards the homeland, contribute to protect the nation’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos.

On this occasion, the organizing board hosted the 1st Vietnam’s Got Talent show in the Republic of Korea, luring a lot of competitors with songs, dancing, beat box, martial arts, and musical instrument performances.

Coming to the one-day event, visitors also played traditional games, especially on this mid-autumn festival, had chance to win scholarships, tasted traditional cuisine from Vietnam and contributed to the "Raising funds for the homeland's sea and islands" program./.
