Present at the ceremony were Nguyen Hoang Giang, Standing Vice Chairman of Thai Binh People's Committee and representatives of the Friendship Associations of Miyagi and Thai Binh provinces.

A representative of the association handed over and introduced techniques to plant 60 cherry trees.

Giang expressed his belief that the cherry trees will become a bridge connecting the Japanese and Vietnamese people.

The plantation of cherry trees will contributed to popularising Japan’s images, culture and people to Thai Binh residents and developing friendly bilateral relations between the two countries in general as well as between Thai Binh and Miyagi provinces in particular, he added./.
