Amar Nayak also appreciated the efforts of the Government, authorities, and people of Vietnam in responding to and overcoming the consequences of the typhoon. Based on his experience in global humanitarian relief, he raised proposals to the leadership of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, regarding the mechanism to call for and receive aid, the legal framework related to handling aid sources, and the importance of preparing and rehearsing in the community to respond to natural disasters.

Vice President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations Nguyen Ngoc Hung expressed his sincere thanks to AAI, AAV and Amar Nayak himself for their timely support in the recovery work after the typhoon. He expressed hope that ActionAid, with its resources and disaster relief experience, would persist in supporting Vietnam, particularly through the Project Supporting Community Recovery After Typhoon No. 3 (Project Y1).

Nguyen Ngoc Hung stressed the importance of providing the community, particularly students, with knowledge and skills for natural disaster prevention. He recommended that AAI, AAV, and funding partners persist in their support for Vietnam in this area via the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, the People's Aid Coordinating Committee (PACCOM), and relevant mechanisms.

At present, AAI is assisting in 33 global emergency situations, including Typhoon Yagi, which is designated as an orange-level emergency. In collaboration with a team of international experts, AAV has rapidly coordinated with the government and pertinent agencies to execute the Community Recovery Support Project in the provinces of Quang Ninh, Hanoi, and Yen Bai, areas that were severely impacted by Typhoon No. 3.

Through PACCOM, AAV has supported at least 5 households in Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province, to repair houses damaged by storms and floods.
