The construction was carried out under the program "Improving accessibility and quality of primary education for children in Ke Sach District, Soc Trang Province", as part of the cooperation of Ke Sach People's Committee, KT&G Welfare Fund (Korea), ActionAid Vietnam (AAV) and Aid for Social Protection Program Foundation Vietnam (AFV).

After 5 months of continuous construction, with the active support from the donor, ActionAid and AFV; and the assistance of Ke Sach district Project Management Committee and the constructor, the close and in-time instruction from the Ke Sach People’s Committee and effective coordination among all related parties, the premises of Thoi An Hoi 2 has been completed and ready for operation to support the teaching and learning for the school year 2019-2020. The new facilities include five classrooms, sanitary system for teachers and students, surrounding wall, concrete playground and drainage system.

The local leaders, teachers, parents and students of Thoi An Hoi 2 primary school are very happy to welcome the new facilities which has a beautiful look and modern supplies. This will contribute to improvement of teaching quality and enable a better, student- friendly teaching and learning environment for both the teachers and students of the school.

Huynh Thị Kieu Trang, acting Principal of the school shared that, with the new facilities, the school’s target to improve comprehensively and fundamentally the education and to realise the motto of teaching theory together with practical skills have been fulfilled. The new facilities meet the aspiration of the parents to have a qualified and friendly learning environment for their children so that the children will have good knowledge, profound English skill foundation which help them to be confident and responsible in life. “I strongly believe that these favourable conditions will inspire the teachers and students of Thoi An Hoi 2 school to gain more success in the school years to come,” she said./.
