Bringing traditional Bulgarian yogurt to Vietnam
In 1974, I went to Bulgaria to study and for the first time learned about the traditional yogurt of the "land of roses". Bulgarian friends introduced me that yogurt is good for health. After five years, I have become addicted to the taste of Bulgarian yogurt.
In 2008, when returning to Bulgaria, I met Ivan Ivannov Stoianov.
Ivan learned how to make traditional yogurt from his grandfather. He is also working for a yogurt factory in Bulgaria. Ivan shared the method and technique of making Bulgarian yogurt with me. At that time, I also wanted my family and relatives to know the value of Bulgarian yogurt.
Upon returning to Vietnam, I started producing Bulgarian yogurt but failed many times. Tons of milk have been thrown away because of poor quality due to factors, such as equipment, production lines, the hot and humid climate in Vietnam.
After researching, I found a solution to produce quality yogurt products, keeping the traditional Bulgarian flavor.
Therefore, I taught all the knowledge I learned from Bulgaria to my daughter, so that she could continue building the factory.
I'm glad that the product Rozaluta - Bulgarian traditional yogurt created by my daughter and I was initially well received by consumers.
Currently, the product is available at food stores, mini supermarkets, schools in Hanoi, Hai Phong and some other localities. Next time, we will introduce the product more, so that Vietnamese people know about the product.

Nurturing Vietnam-Bulgaria friendship
Vietnam-Bulgaria Kindergarten was established in 1981, as a gift from the Bulgarian Women's Union to Vietnamese children after the war. Therefore, the school's mission is to preserve and develop the good traditional friendship between the two countries.

For many years, the school's educational program has always included content introducing Bulgarian culture suitable for preschool children.
These activities include creating typical lines, patterns, and colors of Bulgaria, introducing unique cultural features and Bulgarian landscapes through lessons. Traditional Bulgarian costumes and dishes are also introduced to students.
In the coming time, in addition to annual activities, the school will cooperate with the Vietnam-Bulgaria Friendship Association and the Bulgarian Embassy in Vietnam to organize activities introducing cultural experiences of Bulgaria.

Education and training cooperation with Bulgarian schools
In 2019, the Vietnam-Bulgaria Friendship Association of Ho Chi Minh City signed a cooperation agreement on cultural exchange and training with Veliko Tarnovo University (Bulgaria).
The two sides have tested the type of short-term exchange of postgraduate students on field trips (from 6 months to 1 year) at preferential costs.
In 2023, the Association succeeded in introducing the Bulgarian-Vietnamese Dictionary to a large number of university students in Ho Chi Minh City.

The need to train quality human resources to meet Vietnam's tourism development goals in the fields of restaurants, hotels, and serving international tourists is great.
Meanwhile, Bulgarian universities have the ability to meet that need. We have compared the tuition fees for restaurant and hotel vocational training for one year of study in different countries, and found that the tuition and living expenses in Bulgaria are equivalent to those in Vietnam. Moreover, Vietnam has a European-standard learning environment.
Since joining the European Union (2007), Bulgaria has been assigned to develop tourism. From an agricultural production country to a European-class tourism service, Bulgaria has a lot of things we can learn. This is the reason why Vietnam-Bulgaria can promote cooperation in vocational training in restaurants-hotels-tourism services.
