The Vietnam - Bulgarian Friendship Association in Hai Phong city promotes the role of a bridge, promoting exchanges and cooperation between the people of Hai Phong and Bulgaria.

The Bulgarian Culture, Education, and Slavic Writing Day held in Vietnam is a testament to the friendship between the two countries, said Marinela Petkova, Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria an event in Hanoi on May 27.

On the occasion of the 68th anniversary of Hanoi's Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2022) and the 114th anniversary of the Independence Day of Bulgaria (September 22, 1908 - September 22, 2022), Vietnam - Bulgaria Friendship Association of Hanoi organized the "Hanoi's Autumn" friendship exchange, the first activity of the Vietnam - Bulgaria "Hanoi's Autumn" program.

Due to the unpredictable developments of Covid-19, a meeting to celebrate the Bulgarian Education, Culture and Slavonic Literature Day in Vietnam has been put on hold

On the occasion of the Bulgarian Education, Culture and Slavonic Literature Day (May 24), the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations (HUFO) and the city's Vietnam – Bulgaria Friendship Association presented to Bulgarian Ambassador to Vietnam Marinela Petkova VND 100 million (USD 4.299) in order to help the country effectively deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.
