The visit took place from October 17-20 to strengthen trade cooperation between the two countries in general, and between Vietnam and Cordoba province in particular, said the Vietnamese diplomat.
The highlight events are working sessions between Nguyet and the Governor of Cordoba Province Martín Miguel Llaryora, the Mayor of Pilar Town Leopoldo Grumstrup, the Department of Foreign Trade, the Economic Development Agency and the Bonded Warehouse of the Province of Cordoba.
At these meetings, Ambassador Ngo Minh Nguyet highlighted Vietnam's economic, trade and investment achievements in recent years, with special emphasis on the strengths of agricultural, forestry and fishery exports, electronics, garments and footwear, as well as the desire to further strengthen trade exchanges with Argentina.

The Ambassador stressed that Argentina is Vietnam's 5th largest trading partner in the Americas and the 3rd in Latin America, after Brazil and Mexico. Also, Vietnam is Argentina's 7th largest partner in the world and number one in Southeast Asia.
In 2023, Vietnam-Argentina trade turnover will reach nearly US $3.5 billion, of which Vietnam's exports to Argentina will reach US $976 million, up 14.6% compared to 2022, of which imports from Argentina will reach US $2.5 billion, down 38.9%, due to Vietnam's main products imported from Argentina including soybean meal used for animal feed production and corn decreased sharply due to crop loss.
Referring to trade exchanges between Vietnam and Cordoba province, Ambassador Ngo Minh Nguyet affirmed that Cordoba plays an important role in the cooperation structure between the two countries because this locality provides more than 25% of the value of goods in Argentina's total export turnover to Vietnam. and there is still a lot of room to continue to develop cooperation.

Speaking during the meeting with Ambassador Ngo Minh Nguyet, in the presence of H.E. Mr. Juan Brügge, a member of the Argentina-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Group, Governor Martín Miguel Llaryora affirmed his desire to further expand cooperation with Vietnam, the third largest trading partner of Cordoba. in many fields, especially in the economy, trade and investment.
The Argentine Embassy delegation also visited a number of major Cordoba corporations, including Porta Hermanos, which has more than 140 years of experience in the production of alcohol, wine, vinegar and plant-based proteins, as well as Gespa, a leading South American company in the production of high-quality animal and pet feed.
