Speaking at the event, State Secretary Illés Boglárka assessed Ambassador Nguyen Thi Bich Thao as an experienced, dedicated, and prestigious diplomat. Over the past 3 years of her term, she has made many outstanding contributions to strengthening the comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and Hungary.

Illés Boglárka said Ambassador Nguyen Thi Bich Thao has made many efforts to promote regular political dialogue between the two countries on legislation and justice, promote economic, cultural, educational, and training cooperation and friendly relations between localities of the two countries, as well as support the activities of the Hungary - Vietnam Friendship Association, and Vietnamese associations, delegations and communities in Hungary.

During her tenure, Ambassador Nguyen Thi Bich Thao has maintained close coordination with the Hungarian Parliament, ministries, sectors, and localities, especially in education and training, justice and culture in Budapest and other localities of Hungary. In addition, the Ambassador has actively promoted the introduction of both sides' culture and literature to each other through an event honoring Vietnamese and Hungarian translators (in August 2023).

The Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade recognizes her significant contributions in promoting humanitarian relations, supporting the young generation of Vietnamese students studying in Hungary with state scholarships, and aiding the Vietnamese Women's Association in Hungary in organizing numerous memorable events. By introducing traditional Vietnamese culture, the Ambassador and the Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary have helped the Hungarian people gain a deeper understanding of Vietnam's rich history and unique culture.

In her response, Ambassador Nguyen Thi Bich Thao expressed her honor, pride, and emotion at receiving this prestigious award from the Hungarian State. She vowed to continue fostering friendship, trust, and robust development in all areas between the two countries, regardless of her position.
