To connect investors and businesses, An Giang province organized a conference to promote the local potential in HCMC.

Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment, Ho Van Mung, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee, and Le Van Nung, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Council, attended the conference.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Ho Van Mung, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee, informed about the potential of An Giang province, which is a rich land for Industry - Trade - Services - Tourism - Logistics - Urban and Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery.

The development goal 2030 of An Giang province identifies and affirms three key areas, including the agricultural economy, tourism development, and border trade economy. It will be determined to turn these potentials and strengths into new growth drivers for An Giang's economy in the coming time.

An Giang province aims to develop a large-scale agricultural economy, reduce emissions, apply high technology, reduce costs, increase value, and become the center of rice and freshwater aquaculture in the Mekong Delta region.

The province will also utilize the fresh water and soil resources, focusing on developing more key agricultural products such as tra fish, vegetables and fruit trees, livestock, edible mushrooms, and medicinal herbs to supply the food processing industry.

An Giang has rich potential to develop tourism into an important economic sector of the province, making the tourism industry contribute more to the local economic development. In 2024, the locality welcomes about 9 million visitors.

Many economic advantages of border trade

With a borderline of nearly 100km with Cambodia, An Giang province is planned into 3 Border Gate Economic Zones, with a total area of ​​over 30,000 hectares, which are multi-sector economic zones. Currently, several functional zones have been planned to develop trade logistics services and industrial production, ready to welcome investors to explore.

The project helps An Giang province expand its space, creating momentum for socio-economic development and advantages in attracting investment, attracting strategic investors to the province's Border Gate Economic Zones.
