Event held by the Bulgaria-Vietnam Friendship Association to celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Bulgaria.

The ceremony was solemnly held at the Izgrev District Committee Hall with the participation of representatives of the Embassy, ​​the Association of Vietnamese in Bulgaria and Bulgarian friends.

In his opening speech, President of the Bulgaria-Vietnam Friendship Association Simeon Dimchev reviewed the historical milestones over the past 75 years since Bulgaria and Vietnam established diplomatic relations (1950 - 2025). Despite geographical distance, the two people have built high level trust.

Highlighting recent achievements in fostering cooperation, the Friendship Association has played a crucial role in strengthening ties between Bulgaria and Vietnam. Notable partnerships include collaborations between Bulgarian National Radio and Voice of Vietnam, Zvanche Kindergarten and Viet-Bun Kindergarten, as well as the Bulgarian Writers Association and the Vietnam Writers Association. Simeon Dimchev reaffirmed the association’s commitment to working closely with Vietnamese partners to uphold and further deepen the enduring friendship between the two nations.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet affirmed that Vietnam's state and people remember the valuable and sincere help of the Bulgarian in the process of fighting for independence and building the country.

"Many generations of Vietnamese people who have studied and lived in Bulgaria still keep in their hearts beautiful and dear memories of a peaceful and hospitable country," Ambassador Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet emphasized.

Ambassador Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet commended the Bulgaria-Vietnam Friendship Association for its proactive efforts in organizing the Celebration Ceremony. She emphasized that the art program would further enrich cultural exchanges between Vietnam and Bulgaria, creating a vibrant atmosphere in honor of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations.

Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Bulgaria, Nguyen Quang Tuan, reaffirmed the steadfast support of the Vietnamese community in Bulgaria for the Friendship Association’s people-to-people diplomacy efforts. He highlighted their collective contribution to strengthening the traditional friendship between the two countries and their peoples.

Following the speeches, attendees enjoyed a dynamic art program featuring captivating performances by Bulgarian artists, the Lotus Club, and talented children from both Bulgaria and Vietnam.
