Promoting strength of Vietnamese youth and young intellectuals in US

How is the development of the Association of Vietnamese Students and Professionals in the United States today?

The Association of Vietnamese Students and Professionals in the United States was established in 2013 and became a non-profit organization registered under US law on March 3, 2014. Currently, the Association has more than 35,000 members.

Over the past decade, the Association organized many meaningful activities and events to help connect and promote the strength of the Vietnamese youth and intellectual community here.

The Association's activities support the realization of the ambition to succeed for each Vietnamese individual, family, and community in the US.

The knowledge and experience of young intellectuals also contribute to the construction of the Fatherland and act as a bridge to promote the comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and the US.

In 2023, what outstanding plans will the Association of Vietnamese Students and Professionals implement?

In 2023-2024, the Association will coordinate with the executive boards of local associations to create conditions for young people to develop the Association's activities.

The association will connect with Vietnamese student unions and international students in movements and volunteering in Vietnam. At the same time, the Association wishes to cooperate with the association of overseas Vietnamese to organize activities and projects for the community of Vietnamese people living abroad.

The Association will also leverage the existing diverse network of young people and young intellectuals to promote professional networking platforms, support employment, and share experiences of living and working in the United States.

As one of the organizations of Vietnamese students abroad evaluated for effective operation, the community also has strengths in scientific research, how did the Association promote the resources of young overseas Vietnamese intellectuals to serve the development of the country?

The Association developed young intellectual resources in two forms, online and in person. We often organize webinars monthly or quarterly, based on many different topics, for members to exchange and share expertise.

We also had many groups on social networks, with thousands of people, for members to discuss issues about work, study, and share community projects.

In addition, Vong tay nuoc My is the Association's largest annual event. There, we have a Career Day, bringing together many employers from the United States or Vietnam.

They will have booths to promote their corporation, test interviews, or review resumes for students. After the event, we still accompany them in each recruitment round through workshops, webinars, or media support.

Spreading love for the country, and love for the sea and islands is always the number one priority of the Association in every term of operation.

In the coming time, what plans will the Association have to spread the love and responsibility to the sea and islands of the homeland?

Spreading our love for the country, sea, and islands is always our number one priority in operation.

In the coming time, we will participate and respond to activities from Vietnam, and create events (online and in person).

This is so that Vietnamese students and young people can show their love for their homeland and contribute to the country.
