The concert, titled "A Bossa Nova Concert", organized by the Embassy of Brazil in Vietnam, drew an audience of nearly 800 people.

Bossa Nova, a music genre originating from Brazil in the late 1950s and early 1960s, particularly in Rio de Janeiro, combines traditional Brazilian music with elements of jazz. Known for its smooth, romantic, and sophisticated tunes, Bossa Nova often delves into themes of love and existence, enchanting its audience.

The concert featured classic Brazilian Bossa Nova songs performed by Brazilian and Vietnamese artists, including guitarist Diego Figueiredo, vocalist Claudia Bossle, saxophonist Nguyen Bao Long, and guitarist Vu Le Tuan Hung.

Addressing the audience, artist Diego Figueiredo said: "This is our first visit to Vietnam. The Ho Guom Opera is among the most stunning venues I've ever encountered. It's a privilege to perform in such a setting. I have fallen in love with Vietnam and its people. Our tour here is brief, and it scarcely scratches the surface of this rich culture and its unique traits. I hope to make a return to Vietnam annually." Figueiredo is known for his nomination in Grammy 2000 for "Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals" category.

Marcello Alves, an audience from Brazil, expressed: "Having lived and worked in Vietnam for over five years, I've come to regard it as my second home. The concert evoked a sense of nostalgia, as if I were reliving my childhood moments, reminiscing about the melodies that have been with me throughout my adult life."

Addressing the audience at the concert, the Brazilian Ambassador to Vietnam, Marco Farani, remarked that throughout the years, Brazil and Vietnam have forged a robust partnership characterized by mutual trust, transparency, and honesty. Both nations uphold fundamental values, dedicate themselves to peace, and abide by principles including the resolution of conflicts via negotiation, non-interference in each other's internal matters, strict compliance with international law, and the pursuit of diversification and multilateralism.

Vietnam and Brazil established diplomatic relations on May 8, 1989 and upgraded the relationship to Comprehensive Partnership in 2007. During 35 years of diplomatic relations and 17 years of Comprehensive Partnership, the two governments have made efforts to strengthen the traditional friendship and expand cooperation in many fields, including politics, diplomacy, economics and trade, defense and security, science and technology, innovation, environment, culture, education, sports and people-to-people exchange.
