Bringing Vietnamese Literature Classics to Kazakhstan

According to Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Vietnam Kanat Tumysh, people of Kazakhstan love the courage of the Vietnamese people through literature and wishes to introduce Vietnamese cultural values through a literature translation project. Ambassador Kanat Tumysh plans to have To Hoai's literature translated into Kazakh in the near future.

On November 14, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong received the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Vietnam Kanat Tumysh, who recently started his working term in Vietnam.

The two sides discussed the Vietnam-Kazakhstan cooperation in the fields of culture, physical education, sports, and tourism. Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong and Ambassador Kanat Tumysh agreed to continue promoting the implementation of activities in these fields, contributing to strengthening the relationship between the two countries.

In addition, they both welcomed the idea of organizing Vietnamese Cultural Days in Kazakhstan in 2024 and Kazakh Cultural Days in Vietnam in 2025 to welcome the visits of high-level leaders of the two countries.

According to Ambassador Kanat Tumysh, the year 2024 marks the 65th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's visit to Almaty city (Kazakhstan). He wishes to place a statue of President Ho Chi Minh in Almaty to mark this special occasion and hopes that Vietnam will support Kazakhstan in implementing this project.

Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong welcomed Kazakhstan's proposal and will coordinate its implementation upon the approval of competent authorities.

Ambassador Kanat Tumysh also stressed that the courage of the Vietnamese people, which was delivered through literature, has touched many Kazakh people's hearts. In particular, he loves the works of writer To Hoai.

Kazakhstan wishes to implement a project to translate Vietnamese literature to introduce the Kazakh public to Vietnamese cultural values. Ambassador Kanat Tumysh plans to have To Hoai's literature translated into Kazakh shortly.

Regarding tourism, with the great potential of the two countries, Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong and Ambassador Kanat Tumysh affirmed that they will coordinate to effectively deploy the new tourism cooperation memorandum signed in August 2023 and create significant breakthroughs in this field.

When discussing sports cooperation, the two sides proposed the organization of a Vietnam-Kazakhstan-friendly football match. Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong asked for Ambassador Kanat Tumysh's support so that the Kazakhstan Football Federation and the Vietnam Football Federation can have the opportunity to realize this proposal.
