Acknowledging Papelucho as an educational literary series appropriate for Vietnamese students, the Vietnam Education Publishing House is interested in collaborating to translate and publish the 12 books of the Papelucho series in Vietnamese.
At the signing ceremony, Nguyen Tien Thanh, Chairman and General Director of the Vietnam Education Publishing House, highlighted that this marks a new chapter in the collaboration between the two parties. It aims to promote and disseminate the distinctive aspects of Chilean culture and education in Vietnam and pave the way for future publishing ventures with Chilean counterparts.
The Publishing House is optimistic that, with the ongoing support of the Chilean Embassy, it will bring not only the Papelucho series but also a variety of high-quality translated books to Vietnamese children in the years ahead. Similarly, it hopes to introduce exceptional Vietnamese children's literature in Chile, thereby deepening the diplomatic ties between the two nations through cultural exchange.
Concerning the release of the series, Pham Vinh Thai, the Editor-in-Chief of the Publishing House, stated: "In the future, we aim to launch the complete collection of 12 Papulecho books to present them to the children of Vietnam. We hope that the Chilean Embassy will persist in its support and collaboration in the ensuing years, enabling us to fully deliver this motivational and compassionate collection to our young readers."
Sergio Narea, the Chilean Ambassador to Vietnam, expresses his hope that this initiative will mark the beginning of ongoing collaborative efforts between the Vietnam Education Publishing House and Chile. He also views it as a significant step in the cultural exchange and cooperation between Vietnam and Chile.
