"India is commemorating its 75th anniversary of independence with a festival known as Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. We are also commemorating the 50th anniversary of the start of diplomatic ties between our two nations at the same time. However, since the early stages of the formation of the two civilizations and cultures, our friendship has lasted two millennia. Our culture is known for its emphasis on family ties, Buddhism, and the Ramayana," said Subhash P. Gupta.

"Indian traders looked into new commercial locations in Southeast Asia, especially Vietnam, out of a desire for riches. Indian traders boarded ships and traveled via the Malacca Strait into the East Sea before arriving in Vietnam. They did this by following the southwest monsoon to Southeast Asia, Malaysia, the Indonesian archipelago, and Southeast Asia in general." According to Subhash P. Gupta, "the process of acculturation began with the expansion of commerce and communication between these places from the beginning of time."

"Vietnam is a significant component of India's Look East Policy, according to the Chargé d'affaires of the Indian Embassy in Vietnam. In addition to bilateral initiatives, we place a high priority on deepening our cultural connections with Vietnam within the context of ASEAN and Mekong-Ganga collaboration. Our interactions in many areas are built on our shared interests and goals," Subhash P. Gupta shared.

Chargé d'affaires added, "The Covid pandemic shows how this occurred when both nations banded together to help one another under the most trying circumstances. This is permanently ingrained in our memories. I'd like to close by quoting the late prime minister Pham Van Dong, who described our friendship as being as clean as the sky."
