The report presented at the conference stated that in the first six months of 2024, the Liaison Association with Overseas Vietnamese in Dak Lak province actively connected and mobilized overseas Vietnamese to contribute their intellect and resources to the development of the homeland.

The Association also focused on circulating and promoting the achievements of nation construction and defense, and the results of the country's foreign affairs activities in general, and those of the local area in particular, to the overseas Vietnamese.
Strengthening the connection between overseas Vietnamese and their homeland was carried out through coordinated activities with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak province, organizing the Homeland Spring event during the Lunar New Year of 2024.
In the second half of the year, the Association will continue to implement Conclusion No. 12-KL/TW dated August 12, 2021, of the Politburo on the work related to overseas Vietnamese in the new situation and the Project "Promoting the resources of overseas Vietnamese to contribute to the development of Dak Lak province in the 2023-2027 period" of the provincial People's Committee.

There will be a focus on communication work and mobilizing overseas Vietnamese to establish associations of Vietnamese abroad so that the overseas Vietnamese in Dak Lak province can become a core force, pioneering in the implementation of the Party's and State's guidelines and policies related to overseas Vietnamese.
According to the report on the socio-economic development situation of Dak Lak province in 2023, the province has over 9,000 overseas Vietnamese living, studying, and working in 29 countries and territories. Over the past five years, overseas Vietnamese have contributed more than US $140 million to Dak Lak. |
