The relationship between Vietnam and Denmark has achieved many accomplishments in all fields, from traditional cooperation such as politics and diplomacy, economy, trade and investment, people-to-people exchanges, agricultural cooperation, education and training, and labor exchange to new cooperation opportunities in combating climate change, renewable energy, green growth, and sustainable development.

Queen Margrethe II expects that the relationship between the two countries will continue to develop to a new level in the direction of becoming more and more comprehensive, substantive, and intensive on the basis of mutual interests of both sides.

Recalling her visit to Vietnam in 2009, Queen Margrethe II shared that she was very impressed by the warm, sincere, and hospitable welcome and affection that the Vietnamese leaders and people had given the Queen and the Danish Royal Family. Queen Margrethe II was very emotional when talking about Prince Frederik's years when he was in Vietnam as well as great memories during her 2009 visit, considering this a strong emotional connection between the Danish Royal Family and the country and people of Vietnam.

Ambassador Luong Thanh Nghi extended his pleasure and honor to be appointed as Vietnamese Ambassador to Denmark in the context that the relationship between the two countries has accomplished many encouraging achievements in all cooperation areas where the two sides have strengths and potentials. He emphasized great results in cooperation, especially since the two countries established a strategic partnership in the fields of climate change, energy, environment, and green growth in 2011 and a comprehensive partnership in 2013. Despite the geographical distance, the stable and sustainable development of the relationship between the two sides demonstrates mutual trust and closeness.
