Non Nuoc, also known as Duc Thuy Son, is a mountain located at a very important position in Ninh Binh, jutting out over an area of the Day River, Van River, Highway 10, and many important roads.

The mountains are over 100 meters high and visitors must climb over 72 stone steps to get to the peak. Once they reach the peak of the mountain, they will be able to enjoy the majestic natural scenery of the mountains, trees, and forests opening up in front of them.

The mountain peak is relatively flat and contains green trees creating a cool atmosphere for tourists to rest under them after a long, hard climbing. Non Nuoc Mountain is one of the few mountains in Vietnam known as the "Mountain of Poetry" - a stone book that holds hundreds of outstanding poems of well-known authors. Coming here, people can find the old poems of many famous poets throughout history such as Tran Anh Tong, Pham Su Manh, Truong Han Sieu, Nguyen Trai, Le Thanh Tong, Cao Ba Quat, Nguyen Khuyen, and many more.

On December 31, 2019, Prime Minister ranked a special relic for Non Nuoc Mountain Historic and Scenic Site.

Non Nuoc Mountain was originally discovered by Truong Han Sieu of the Tran Dynasty. He named the mountain Duc Thuy Son. Along the way up the mountain, there are bunkers with traces of war. There is also a statue of hero Luong Van Tuy, a young communist who bravely crossed the bombs to plant the flag of the Communist Party of Vietnam on the mountain. Due to the deposition of sediment thickness associated with the history of the Ninh Binh formation, Thuy Mountain and Van River became the unique symbol of Ninh Binh city.

At the foot of the mountain there is Non Nuoc Pagoda, an ancient pagoda that is hundreds of years old, was built during the reign of King Ly Nhan Tong under the Ly Dynasty, and the temple of Truong Han Sieu, a talented mandarin during Tran Dynasty. His poems were also carved on the mountain.

Non Nuoc Pagoda is located at the foot of Non Nuoc Mountain, on the bank of Day River, in Thanh Binh Ward, Ninh Binh City. With an area of 2 square kilometers, it is where visitors can escape from the hustle and bustle of their busy lives.
