Phu Tho Province is a province in northeastern Vietnam. The province's name derives from and its capital is Viet Tri City, which is 80 kilometers away from Hanoi and 50 kilometers from the Noi Bai International Airport. The province covers an area of ​​3528.1 square kilometers and as of 2008, it had a population of 1,364,700 people.

Long Coc Tea Hill

A hill that is home to several tea farms in the northern province of Phu Quoc will turn into a magnet for tourists whenever winter comes, as low temperatures allow a blanket of fog to settle around the green-covered hillocks there.

On both sides of the curvy road in the middle of the mountainous area, tea plantations lead one to the horizon and cover the road in shadows. The hillocks at Long Coc are also known as 'tea islands,” which, despite their separated locations, form breathtaking scenery. The 'tea islands' are usually compared to islands on Ha Long Bay, the most famous natural wonder of Vietnam.

Visitors can walk on winding roads around small hills, enjoying the fresh, cool climate. On top of being a selfie hotspot, Long Coc also emerges as a place for relaxation, where people can escape the hustle and bustle to enjoy the peacefulness of the hills. Tea farming is an important sector of Phu Tho and the main source of income for many locals. Each tea farm on the hills at Long Coc has an area of ​​around one hectare.

Van Mo Waterfall

Van Mo Waterfall is located in Cu Thang commune (Thanh Son district). This is one of the ecotourism destinations chosen by many local tourists because of its pristine nature and diverse flora and fauna.

It is located in a 40-hectare primeval forest complex, 9 floors high, formed by different small streams. The road to the waterfall is dense with ancient trees, tangled vines, and uneven rocks. In the summer, visitors can immerse themselves in the cool lake at the foot of the waterfall, and then enjoy local dishes such as chicken, sticky rice, wild vegetables, and stream fish.

Van Hoi Lagoon

About 120 km from Hanoi, Van Hoi lagoon in Hien Luong commune, Ha Hoa district, Phu Tho province is described as a miniature of Ha Long Bay in the northern midland area where most of the wilderness is still kept intact.

Xuan Son National Park

Ranked among the top three famous national parks in the country, Xuan Son National Park is located at the end of the Hoang Lien Son range and in the southwest of Tan Son district, on the triangle area between the borders of three provinces: Phu Tho, Hoa Binh, and Son La. When visiting Xuan Son, tourists can still feel the pristine beauty, largely untouched by tourism activities.

Xuan Son National Park covers a total area of ​​33,687 hectares, with the core area being 15,048 hectares and the buffer zone being 18,639 hectares, ranking 12th among Vietnam's 15 largest national parks. It is considered the green lungs and an attractive tourist destination of Phu Tho. With forest coverage reaching 84%, the quality of forest ecosystems is stable and well-protected. The park is evaluated as having a clean and cool air environment, with an average annual temperature of 22 - 23°C.

According to statistics, Xuan Son National Park has 1217 species of plants, including 665 medicinal plant species, 300 species of edible forest plants, and high-level plants such as Re, de, oak, va, tau muoi, cho chi, doi, and needle knife.
