Disseminate local laws to Vietnamese community in Mongolia

The Vietnamese Embassy in Mongolia coordinated with the Immigration Agency of Mongolia and the Association of Vietnamese in Mongolia to organize a conference to introduce and disseminate Mongolian law to the Vietnamese living in this country on May 27.
The conference is organized with the desire to provide the most necessary and new legal knowledge for every Vietnamese living and working in Mongolia, aiming to build a strong Vietnamese community in Mongolia. This is so that the Vietnamese community can make a stronger change in the sense of compliance with Mongolian law.
Popular contents include the law on legal status of foreign citizens, the amended and supplemented Investment Law, and legal documents related to foreigners in Mongolia. The conference also introduced new and additional legal provisions for 2020 that have just been approved by the Mongolian government and will take effect from June 1. New points related to the post-pandemic business investment environment, security and safety issues for foreigners were also mentioned.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mongolia Doan Khanh Tam thanked the Mongolian government, especially the Immigration Agency for always paying attention to and creating favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community living in Mongolian. He also emphasized the great, far-reaching and practical significance of the conference.

The Ambassador said that the conference will create new opportunities and impulses to help the Vietnamese community in Mongolia continue to promote, comply with local laws, contribute to the cause of building and developing Mongolia. The conference also fosters the good traditional friendship between Vietnam and Mongolia in the coming time.
Head of the Immigration Agency of Mongolia N.Uuganbayar thanked the Vietnamese Embassy in Mongolia for always accompanying and closely coordinating with the Mongolian side. The Immigration Agency updates and disseminates legal knowledge, helping the Vietnamese community to have a deeper understanding of the law, culture, country and people of Mongolia. He thanked the Vietnamese community in Mongolia for joining hands with Mongolia in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
N.Uuganbayar said that the new laws and related regulations open up many favorable opportunities and solve problems for foreigners, including the Vietnamese investment community and businesses. He expressed the wish that more and more Vietnamese people come to travel, invest and do business in Mongolia.
The contents are actively exchanged by people such as the rights and obligations of foreigners. In which, issues of temporary residence, permanent residence, deportation, residence, labor and occupation, health, education, immunity in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic and other rights are answered by representatives of relevant Mongolian authorities.
Chairman of Vietnamese Association in Mongolia Nguyen Huy Tuan, on behalf of the community, expressed his gratitude to the Embassy and the Mongolian Immigration Agency for coordinating in organizing the event of special significance and practicality. He thanked the Mongolian side for timely support policies, exemption and reduction of some related procedures and costs in the context of general difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Earlier, Ambassador Doan Khanh Tam had a private meeting with Head of the Immigration Agency of Mongolia N.Uuganbayar, the two sides discussed and agreed on a number of related measures to promote relations. In particular, the two exchanged and cooperated in the field of citizen protection, protection of the legitimate rights and interests of citizens.
