The Warsaw Open Table-Tennis tournament for overseas Vietnamese was held in the capital of Poland between May 2nd - 5th attracting athletes from eight countries that deemed the competition was an unquestionable success.

The Warsaw Open Table-Tennis tournament for overseas Vietnamese was held in the capital of Poland between May 2nd - 5th attracting athletes from eight countries that deemed the competition was an unquestionable success.

Eight countries participate in table-tennis tournament of overseas Vietnamese in Poland
This year, the tournament was open to all comers according to desire of Vietnamese players across Europe and other countries, with the primary purpose of exchange, cohesion and enhancing understanding, solidarity of Vietnamese people all over the world. The tournament attracted 130 players aged 12-73 from Germany, Czech, Slovakia, Hungary, Finland, France, Canada and Poland.

The German team won the first prize with four gold and four silver medals, the second prize was given to the Polish team with two gold and four bronze medals.

Previously, Vietnamese Ambassador to Poland Pham Kien Thiet and representatives of associations attended the opening ceremony.

After the tournament, the host team took the teams to visit scenic local landscapes.

This is a useful playground, which needs to be maintained and expanded to overseas Vietnamese communities./.
