Event promotes community health among Vietnamese expats in Czech Republic
An awareness-raising event on public healthcare for Vietnamese expatriates in the Czech Republic recently took place at the community’s SAPA shopping centre in Prague.

The event, held by Medviet, a group of Vietnamese doctors and medical students in Czech included various activities to test participants’ knowledges on the topic of health and health insurance systems, providing free medical checkups and consultation service as well as a talkshow with doctors.
The program brought together 7 doctors and 10 medical students, both Vietnamese and Czech nationals.
According to Tran Thi Hoai Anh, a student from the Charles University, Head of the organizing board, the event aims to help Vietnamese expats update their knowledge on the prevention and treatment of common diseases and boost connectivity between them and Vietnamese doctors working in the Czech Republic.
Doctor Ngo Viet Dung (Motol University Hospital) shared his hopes that there will be more similar health care programmes to be carried out in the future.
