Quang Phu Cau commune (Ung Hoa district) is currently a tourist destination sought after by many domestic and foreign tourists. Quang Phu Cau commune has 6 villages including Xa Cau, Quang Nguyen, Phu Luong Thuong, Phu Luong Ha, Cau Bau, and Dao Tu, about 35km south of Hanoi center. Recently, Quang Phu Cau incense stick village has become a famous tourist destination on the outskirts of Hanoi because of its peaceful beauty and the vibrant colors of incense sticks with beautiful shapes.

To truly experience Quang Phu Cau, tourists should come on sunny days, when the locals will use every available place to dry incense. Scenes get livelier and more picturesque as the Tet Holiday (Lunar New Year) arrives when people ramp up production to satisfy the rising demand for the festive season.

According to the local people, the traditional incense craft in the commune is more than 100 years old with the main product being incense sticks. To serve tourism demand, people make other products such as finished incense, bamboo toothpicks, skewers, and bamboo brooms. Currently, maintaining the making of incense sticks in Quang Phu Cau commune not only brings economic stability but is also creating a new look for the commune.

Visitors can have a chance to learn about the process of making incense. Materials used to make incense must be carefully selected because this profession has many spiritual elements. The bamboo used to make the stems must be "old enough" and have to go through a careful screening process. In the past, people split the bamboo by hand. Today, they rely on machines to complete orders on time.

On sunny days, one can see dyed incense around the village. All sidewalks and roads in the village are colored with the pink and red of incense sticks. Bundles of incense look like giant flowers which create a bright painting. The gentle scent of incense sticks makes people more relaxed when going for a walk around the village.

It is one of the long-lasting traditional craft villages which has been maintained and developed. This place has not only kept the soul of the spiritual and cultural items but is also a beautiful destination for tourists.

From the Hanoi capital downtown, visitors can travel on the National Highway 21B or the Provincial Highway 429 to go to Quang Phu Cau village. In addition, the Cat Linh – Ha Dong metro line is also a good choice for visitors to reach the village. From the final station of the metro line at Yen Nghia, visitors travel on bus No.91 to Quang Phu Cau.
