Foreign Guests Enjoy Self-check-in Kiosks at Da Nang Airport
Accordingly, at the Da Nang Airport's international terminal, ten self-check-in kiosks have been inaugurated for passengers to try this time-saving service. The service is favored for its simplicity, with clear instructions displayed on the touchscreen, and easy-to-understand bilingual content.
Passengers may take only two minutes to complete their self-check-in at the kiosks, just by clicking to select the airline and language, then scanning their passport or passenger code. The screen will display seats for visitors to choose and declare their baggage. After completing these steps, the device will automatically print boarding passes for them.

A South Korean tourist named Kim Rihan was among the first to try this time-saving service. He took a few minutes to complete his self-check-in with the instructions displayed on the touchscreen. The service helps visitors shorten the time they have to wait in line for check-in as before. Thanks to these kiosks, they have more time to rest while waiting to board the plane.
According to Do Trong Hau, Deputy General Director of the Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company (AHT), passengers arriving at Da Nang International Airport can choose their seats and complete the check-in process for their flight within just two to five minutes at the kiosk instead of waiting for around 15 minutes when check-in in a traditional way.
Additionally, the company plans to launch more services, such as automated boarding gates and self-baggage drop systems. When all these systems are synchronized, passengers will save a significant amount of time, allowing them to enjoy various amenities and services at the airport.

Currently, the self-check-in kiosks primarily serve South Korean customers traveling with Korean Air flights, which operate two flights per day from Da Nang. The terminal is also investing in a luggage self-check-in system which will be operational in October.
A representative from Korean Air said self-check-in is also available in other Vietnamese airports such as Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat, and Cam Ranh. The decision to launch this service at Da Nang Airport's international terminal was influenced by its rapid infrastructure development and Da Nang's attractiveness to Korean travelers. Da Nang welcomed over 1.14 million international visitors in the first seven months of 2023, an increase of 7.7 times compared to the same period last year.
