According to representatives of travel companies in Ho Chi Minh City, the "Foreigners celebrating Tet" tour is very popular. This is a product line that has established a strong position in the hearts of international tourists every Tet holiday for the past 20 years. Many overseas Vietnamese tourists and domestic tourists, those who do not have the opportunity to return home during Tet, also want to experience this tour. Enjoy the Tet atmosphere. Many families choose to fully experience Tet, so tours usually start from the 29th and 30th of the last year to the 1st and 2nd of Tet.

Tran The Dung, General Director of Vietluxtour Company, said that in previous years, the company received positive feedback from tourists after experiencing Tet. Therefore, the company maintains this activity every year to increase the diversity and uniqueness of products and give foreign tourists good impression of Vietnamese culture. During the Lunar New Year, the number of international visitors registered with this company increased by 50% compared to the same period last year. The major tourist market comes from Poland, the Czech Republic, and Australia.

According to a representative of Salinda Phu Quoc Resort, during February 8 – 14, most guests staying at the resort are foreigners, coming from China, Korea, England, Kazakhstan, and Europe.

To help visitors learn more about traditional Vietnamese Tet customs, Salinda Phu Quoc Resort has organized activities such as introducing the worship customs during Tet, lion dances, workshops to teach how to wrap chung cake, tet cake, and make apricot blossoms and flowers, lucky money envelopes, giving New Year's letters... In addition, each visitor will also be given an information booklet of Tet programs, including an introduction to traditional Tet and the zodiac symbol in new year.

Kim Sang Woon, a tourist from the Republic of Korea, said that this is the first time his family visited Phu Quoc during the Lunar New Year and found the atmosphere to celebrate Tet very interesting and unique. His four-member family tried making chung cake and learned about traditional Tet dishes. After receiving instructions from the chefs, his family was able to wrap their first chung cake themselves.

As for Aran and Jeroen, tourists from the Netherlands, this is the 5th time they have come to Phu Quoc and the 2nd time they have come to Vietnam on Lunar New Year. Aran and Jeroen participated in the Tet cake wrapping workshop to learn more about traditional Vietnamese Tet cuisine.
