According to Dr. Gildas Treguier, 2023 marks 50 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and France and the 30th anniversary of the Franco-Vietnamese medical cooperation program (FFI), which has trained about 3,000 highly qualified doctors, contributing to Vietnamese medicine. On this occasion, the Franco-Vietnamese Medical Federation plans to conduct seminars and professional exchanges with Vietnamese partners.
Dr. Gildas Treguier, a pediatrician specializing in taking care of sensitive newborns, who are at high risk of dangerous sequels, said he and his colleagues have implemented "First 1000 days of life" in France to care for children's health, prevent serious complications and risk of disability. Doctors participating in the program are trained in medicine and gain knowledge about rehabilitation and therapy. It also helps families with children at high risk of complications after birth.
"First 1,000 days of life" is my dream. I would love to share this dream with the professors here so that we can implement the program in many hospitals in Vietnam," said doctor Gildas Treguier.
The two sides discussed and set out specific cooperation goals such as: participating in a French medical conference to be held in November 2023, exchanging information about the "First 1000 days of life" child care program, exchange trainees betweenVietnam and France.
