The Van Tinh Club’s transportation service is provided for free, and imbued with the the warm feelings of people who want to support others during the Covid-19 pandemic. Whether at midnight, amidst adverse weather conditions or running the risks of Covid exposure, the club’s zero-cost cars have been running non-stop.
The Covid outbreak in Da Nang has been disrupting the transportation system, including traditional and tech-based taxis. Even when most transport must stop operation temporarily to curb the outbreak, the “zero cost” transportation service is allowed to continue. For mothers about to give birth and other people who need to go to the hospital in the middle of the night, these services are a great help.

Because of this, we are extremely grateful for the ‘zero cost’ service.” His wife, Dang Tran Thuy Linh, 25, added “They arrived at our house in just 5 minutes. When we came to the hospital, they did not take any money from us. What a meaningful service!”

Dao Van Muoi, a father who traveled home in Kon Tum with the help of the zero-cost transportation service, said “I contacted Phuong, the vice-chief of the Van Tinh club. His voice was so warm. Right away, he helped me to acquire the letter of approval from the Management Board of the 199 Hospital and brought my son and me from Da Nang to our home in Kon Tum completely free of charge. 3 members of the club spent their precious time getting us to the Dak Glei district medical center amidst freezing cold weather. We felt warmed and happy with their selflessness.”

Since 2020, the Van Tinh Club has been running the “zero cost, thousands of feelings” program to support mothers who are entering labor. Head of the program Ho Ngoc Thanh said the group’s greatest joy was the fact that every mother that they had been supporting was able to give birth safely.
Thanh said the group’s zero-cost transportation service not only supports mothers-to-be but also poor people discharged from hospital without money to go home. The club raises its own funds to run the program. Those who receive support do not have to pay.
Thanks to the club’s initiative, many mothers have managed to get to the hospital on time and many poor people have arrived home.
