Friend Force Ambassadors contribute to Connect Vietnamese with International Friends

The statement was made by Phan Anh Son, Vice President, and General Secretary of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) at the meeting with 16 ambassadors of Friendship Force International (FFI) from Romania and the USA in Hanoi on April 6.

Phan Anh Son welcomed the delegation to Vietnam and worked with VUFO, and wished the delegation a successful visit.

Acknowledging the good results in the friendship and cooperation relations between VUFO, the Vietnam-US Society, and FFI in recent years, Phan Anh Son highly appreciated FFI's visits that have helped the Vietnamese people further understand the different cultures.

FFI program has created a diverse, rich, and open cultural playground, connecting the friendship between the Vietnamese people and other countries. Phan Anh Son also affirmed that VUFO is willing to support FFI in cooperation activities with Vietnam in the future.

FFI delegates expressed their impression of Vietnam's rapid development in economy and infrastructure. The delegation wanted to learn about Vietnamese history, culture, and life and seek opportunities to work with Vietnamese partners, especially in the field of environmental protection and response to climate change.

On this occasion, Phan Anh Son introduced to the FFI ambassadors from Romania and the USA the economic, political, and social situation of Vietnam; the organizational structure, mission, and activities of VUFO.

On the same day, Bui The Giang, Vice Chairman of Vietnam - US Society had a meeting with the FFI delegation to share information about the foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, and integration, the results of the 35-year process of renovation of Vietnam.

FFI has more than 300 clubs and thousands of members around the world, is the leading organization in the global peace movement to connect people of different countries through practical friendship tours. FFI works with the purpose of strengthening friendship and cultural exchanges between countries in order to expand friendship, understanding and cooperation among peoples of countries around the world.

FFI established a relationship with the Vietnam - American Association in 1995. Since then, the two sides have regularly organized people-to-people exchanges and short stay at local households.

FFI delegations enter Vietnam from many countries such as the US, UK, Brazil, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Romania... Vietnam also sends friendship envoys to the US every year.
