Friendship Organizations Between Vietnam and India Boost Cooperation

Within the framework of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue's official visit to India, Minister of Information and Communications, Chairman of the Vietnam-India Friendship Association Nguyen Manh Hung received and worked with leaders of Indian friendship organizations including All India Peace and Solidarity Organization (AIPSO), Indian Society for Cultural Co-operation and Friendship (ISCUF), India-Vietnam Solidarity Committee of West Bengal (IVSC) on December 17.

During the working sessions, the leaders of the friendship organizations informed about the activities of each unit. They discussed possibilities to enhance coordination to improve efficiency in each organization's operation.

They agreed on the necessity of regularly exchanging information, sharing experiences, good practices to overcome difficulties in organizing people-to-people diplomacy activities, and strengthening cooperation among friendship associations between Vietnam and India with rich and practical forms.

2022 marks 50 anniversary of diplomatic relations establishment (1972-2022), 15 years of strategic partnership (2007-2022), and 6 years of comprehensive strategic partnership (2016 -2022), which are important milestones in the relationship between the two countries.

The organizations agreed to coordinate in organizing meaningful and practical activities to commemorate these events, contributing to promote the traditional friendship and strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
