In his visit to Hue city (Thua Thien Hue province), German Ambassador to Vietnam Guido Hildner joined a ceremony held by the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD to give books to Hue University's international school.

The meaningful gift includes 160 academic books in the fields of economy, resource, communication, international relations, project management was received by Associated Professor. Doctor Nguyen Quang Linh, Hue University President. Those books are sponsored by Hanoi DAAD in the framework of a project to provide facility support for former DAAD students in Vietnam to increase teaching and researching works in Vietnam's universities.

The Ambassador said that Germany hoped to enhance cooperation with Hue in academic scientific research, environment protection, and the German language at Hue University. In addition, German is deploying several trial research projects in Hue, such as community cycling, sustainable forestry livelihood, using seaside local plants to cope with climate change, teaching and training high-quality human resources,...

According to Assoc. TS. Nguyen Quang Linh - Hue University President, through Vietnam's government scholarships and DAAD scholarships, numerous officials and teachers in Hue University have studied and researched in German in the fields of medicine, agriculture, forestry, natural sciences. When coming back to Vietnam, they have assigned important positions in the locality.

Currently, Hue University is taking part in many capacity improvement programs and projects in the Eramsmus+ framework, sponsored by the European Community, which coordinates with many German universities on technology transfer, international cooperation, teacher, student, and researcher exchange between the Southeast Asian and European countries.

In 2021, many cooperation programs will be implemented between CDG International Training Institute, Germany and Hue University's international school; Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, Germany and Hue University's international school; Bernhard Nocht Institute of Tropical Medicine, Hamburg, Germany, and University of Medicine and Pharmacy...
