Last afternoon, the city's leaders required private medical clinics and drug stores to make a list of residents in the area who show symptoms of fever, cough, and breath shortness then report the list to medical establishments at the district level. If not strictly complying with the city's directive, the clinics and drug stores will be fined according to regulations.

In the previous week, Hanoi banned doing exercises in parks or public flower gardens. The city asked its citizens to avoid gathering and keep a distance of at least one meter from other people in public areas.

Districts' departments of Culture and Sport will consider whether to allow sports activities in stadiums or not and take responsibility for their decisions. Most non-essential activities and services in the city have been suspended.
